About us
BioLawEurope is a non-exclusive alliance between and among independent law firms and lawyers specialized in and focusing on the rendering of legal services related to the biotech, pharma, food supplement, medical device and/or dentistry industry sectors. The participating lawfirms and their lawyers are all registered and licensed to practice law and admitted to the bar in one or more jurisdictions in the EU, EFTA and/or Switzerland.
BioLawEurope is incorporated as a Swiss not-for-profit association ("Verein "). Its members currently comprise lawfirms based in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic and Slovakia, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.​
The association has been established with a view to bring together lawyers and lawfirms throughout Europe specializing in life sciences law, including but not limited to pharmaceutical law, medical devices regulation, biotechnology, healthcare law, data protection or intellectual property as it pertains to life sciences, and thereby facilitating the referral of life science clients to specialized firms across European jurisdictions. It can be difficult to find suitable lawyers in multiple jurisdictions, as life science laws are such a specialist subject.​ Having confidence in a firm in another jurisdiction involves building up trust in their capabilities and approach. This is as much an issue for us as it is for our clients.

Since the association was formed in 2015 (by then as a Danish not-for-profit association) we have been continuously working together on emerging client projects, and developing mutual confidence.
